About Me

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider (TLPC-MHSP) with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach combines scientific rigor with genuine compassion, creating an environment where meaningful change can flourish. As a dedicated scientist-practitioner, I blend research-backed strategies with a warm, collaborative approach to help you achieve lasting progress.

I specialize in neurodivergence and co-occurring conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, insomnia, and substance use. My expertise also extends to behavioral issues, family conflict, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, sleep disorders, and dual diagnosis presentations.

My approach embraces all identities, orientations, and cultural backgrounds to provide a therapeutic journey that is affirming and effective. With my experience in clinical diagnostics, we'll work together to develop a complete picture of your mental health and identify clear treatment objectives. Then, we'll create a customized treatment plan that integrates an array of evidence-based strategies to establish a strong foundation for success.

I have completed extensive didactic and hands-on training in the treatment of OCD, specializing in evidence-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Neurocounseling (NC), Gestalt Therapy (GT), psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches, person-centered therapy, strength-based interventions, solution-focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My clinical experience spans a broad range of ages and neurotypes, allowing me to adapt these scientific strategies to fit best with everyone's individual strengths and preferences.

For couples, I utilize the Gottman Method to address relationship issues, marital and premarital concerns, and communication challenges. This evidence-based approach helps both of you to feel seen, understood, and respected by embracing the shared meaning of your partnership.  We'll work together to identify patterns that may be creating distance or conflict and resolve them with practical skills that expand your relationship's existing strengths.

For families, I provide family therapy and Parent Management Training (PMT) to address interpersonal conflicts, parenting challenges, and foster healthy family dynamics. My family work focuses on improving communication patterns, strengthening relationships, and developing effective strategies for managing behavioral concerns. We'll collaborate to build a foundation of support, structure, and consistency that embraces each family member's unique needs and perspectives. Through this process, all participants will learn evidence-based techniques for setting boundaries, reinforcing positive behaviors, and reducing challenging behaviors to create a thriving family environment.

Whether you're considering therapy for the first time or continuing your journey, I recognize and celebrate the personal commitment to your well-being. Everyone deserves wellness and healing, but those things don't just "happen"; they result from intention. When the winding road of life is approached with intention, failures become learning opportunities and successes become uplifting. I am here to honor your intention by offering a space of kindness and support. When we work together, trust that you can explore your self-understanding without judgement and safely develop the tools and strategies you need to achieve your goals. I'm here to help.
