AFTER THE TEST
Your test flagged ROCD — what that means, and what's next
A relationship OCD (ROCD) test or screener can spot a pattern — relentless doubt about your feelings, your partner, or whether the relationship is right — but it can't diagnose you. A high score means it's worth taking seriously, not that you've failed anything. The next step is a proper clinical conversation to understand what's actually going on.
ROCD runs on the same engine as other OCD: an obsessional doubt that feels urgent no matter how much you reassure yourself. i-CBT (inference-based CBT) targets that inferential confusion — trusting an imagined doubt over your real experience of the relationship — and rebuilds trust in what you actually feel and know, without exposure exercises. As the doubt loosens, you can weigh the relationship from experience, not fear.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions
Does a high score on a relationship OCD test mean I have it?
Not by itself. An online test can flag a pattern worth examining, but only a licensed clinician can confirm ROCD after a proper conversation. A high score is a reason to look closer, not a verdict — and the doubt it points to is very treatable.
Is i-CBT available online, or do I need to come in person?
ScienceWorks provides i-CBT for relationship OCD by secure telehealth to clients across Tennessee, and in person at our Nashville office if you prefer. Most people meet privately online from home; in-person visits in Nashville are available on request.
Will treatment make me leave or stay in my relationship?
Neither — that's your decision. i-CBT reduces the obsessional doubt so you can weigh your relationship based on your real experience of it, not on fear. The goal is clarity and relief, not a particular outcome for the relationship.
