HOW TESTING WORKS
What a comprehensive ADHD and autism evaluation involves
A comprehensive psychological assessment is a structured way to understand how attention, executive function, sensory and social processing, and emotional health fit together — and to sort what is primary from what is secondary. It is far more than a checklist or a single online quiz.
Using an in-depth clinical interview, standardized measures, and a review of your history, your clinician builds a whole-picture view and runs a careful differential diagnosis — separating ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, and burnout, which often overlap and mimic one another. You leave with a clear, plain-language explanation of what is going on, so the findings genuinely match your lived experience rather than a quick label.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions
Is testing available online, or do I need to come in person?
ScienceWorks provides ADHD and autism testing entirely online by secure telehealth, to clients located in Tennessee during sessions. There's no in-person option — you complete the evaluation from home, work, or school, which removes travel as a barrier to getting answers.
Do you test children, or only teens and adults?
We assess kids, teens, and adults seeking clarity about ADHD and/or autism, including late-identified and high-masking presentations. The measures we use, and how we involve parents, partners, or teachers, are tailored to age and to the questions you want answered.
What does testing cost, and will insurance help?
We review fees, scheduling, and any out-of-network reimbursement options before you commit, so there are no surprises. Many clients use FSA or HSA funds or monthly superbills; we'll walk you through what applies to your situation.
