About Me

Hello! I’m Bailey Basham, and I provide therapy for adults, teens, couples, and families who want care that is compassionate, affirming, and grounded in real life. My approach is collaborative and individualized, which means we work together to understand your story, identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and create a path forward that fits your needs, values, relationships, and daily life.

I aim to make therapy feel warm, useful, and nonjudgmental. Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, anxiety, depression, neurodivergent overwhelm, trauma, grief, or major life changes, we’ll focus on helping you feel more connected, more empowered, and more at home in yourself.

Couples & Families

Relationships can be meaningful, complicated, painful, and healing - sometimes all at once. Couples and families often come to therapy when communication feels strained, conflict keeps repeating, trust has been hurt, or everyone feels stuck in roles that no longer work. Therapy can help create space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin practicing new ways of relating.

My work with couples and families draws from Family Systems, Emotion-focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Together, we’ll look at the patterns shaping your relationships, strengthen communication, and support greater understanding, repair, and connection.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression can affect how you think, feel, relate, work, rest, and move through the world. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, on edge, emotionally shut down, or caught in a loop of self-criticism and exhaustion. Therapy can help you better understand these patterns and build tools that support steadiness, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

I use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical coping skills, emotional awareness, distress tolerance, and new ways of responding to difficult thoughts and feelings. Our work will focus on helping you feel more grounded, capable, and connected to what matters.

ADHD & Autism

For neurodivergent clients, therapy is most helpful when it respects how your brain actually works rather than asking you to force yourself into strategies that were not built for you. ADHD and autism can shape attention, communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, relationships, burnout, self-esteem, and the experience of being misunderstood or masking for too long.

I offer customized treatment plans for neurodivergence that are practical, flexible, and affirming. Our work may include CBT, DBT, and integrated executive function coaching to support self-understanding, planning, communication, overwhelm, emotional regulation, and sustainable daily rhythms.

Trauma

Trauma can affect your sense of safety, identity, relationships, nervous system, and ability to trust yourself or others. It may show up as anxiety, shame, emotional numbness, people-pleasing, avoidance, hypervigilance, or feeling pulled back into old stories and survival patterns. Therapy can help you make sense of what happened while building safety and stability in the present.

My trauma work incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Treatment is paced with care, helping you understand protective patterns, reconnect with parts of yourself that have carried pain, and move toward healing with compassion rather than judgment.

Grief

Grief can follow death, relational loss, life transitions, identity shifts, family changes, religious trauma, or the loss of what you hoped life would be. It can feel heavy, confusing, isolating, or nonlinear. Therapy offers a place to tell the truth about what you have lost, what still matters, and how you are learning to carry it.

My work with grief draws from Narrative Therapy and Emotion-focused Therapy. Together, we’ll make space for your story, honor the complexity of your emotions, and support meaning, connection, and steadiness as you move through loss and change.

Good Faith Estimate

Our clients have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" regarding the cost of their care. Under the law, healthcare providers are required to provide patients and/or clients with an estimated cost of goods and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency goods or services. This includes ancillary costs such as medical tests, prescription drugs, consumables, and institutional fees.  Your healthcare provider should deliver a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day prior to beginning paid services. If you receive a bill that is more than $400 over your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute.
