HOW THE ASSESSMENT WORKS
What an AuDHD assessment is, and how it works
An AuDHD assessment is a structured evaluation that looks at ADHD and autism traits together, rather than one at a time. Working with a clinician, you complete a clinical interview, a developmental and life history, and standardized measures — so overlapping traits are understood in context instead of being missed or mislabeled.
From there you receive a clear differential picture: what fits ADHD, what fits autism, what may be burnout, anxiety, or a hormonal transition, and where they overlap. At ScienceWorks the process is neurodivergent-affirming and strengths-based — we assess challenges and strengths together and translate the results into plain language, practical accommodations, and concrete next steps you can use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions women often ask
Is the assessment done online or in person?
The AuDHD assessment is delivered by secure telehealth to clients located in Tennessee during their appointments. You complete the interview and standardized measures from home, which removes travel and lets you be in a comfortable, low-sensory setting.
Can you assess autism and ADHD at the same time?
Yes. The evaluation is designed to look at ADHD and autism traits together, so co-occurring AuDHD presentations are captured rather than one masking the other, and you receive a clear differential picture.
Why are so many women identified later in life?
Many women learned to camouflage their traits, and older diagnostic tools were validated mainly on boys and men. That combination means support needs were often missed — wanting answers now is valid, not attention-seeking.
